Does anyone know of an online bookmarking service (akin to del.icio.us or xmarks) that lets you filter your books by more than one tag at once? This feature seems like it would be extremely useful to me but also a bit elusive.

Uhm, Xmarks lets you do it.
You can enter multiple tags, separated by a commas. Works for me in FireFox, but not Safari.

I find that while I can enter multiple tags and each bookmark can have a seemingly infinite number of tags attached to it), I can't search/view/filter by more than one tag at a time. What am I missing?

What do you mean by "search/filter by more than one tag at a time".
I think I don't understand your problem.
Can you give an example, and I'll try it with my bookmarks,

Well, let's suppose I have two tags I'm using, "technology" and "culture". Google Bookmarks lets me click on the list of tags on the left so that if I click on "technology" it displays all bookmarks that have that particular tag. What I'd like is to be able to select both "technology" and "culture" simultaneously so that it displays all bookmarks containing BOTH "technology" and "culture" and not tags that contain only one or the other.
To put it in geek-ese, it's like using AND inside of a WHERE clause when making a database query.

Ok, I understand. I tried it with Xmarks on Firefox, and you are right, you can't select more than one tag.

I did just figure out one cool thing that you can do in Google Bookmarks to accomplish this (say, searching for something containing the tags for both "recipes" and "spinach") -- enter the following into the address field (you need to be logged in to your Google account first):
code:
http://www.google.com/bookmarks/lookup?q=label:recipes&q=label:spinach
Okay, so that's fairly obvious/transparent, but it still gets me somewhere. Maybe I can make a custom search engine for Firefox that will let me use comma-separated terms for just this purpose. Hmmmm.

Actually, just found that it DOES work with Xmarks.
You can enter tags into the search box. DO NOT use any AND or "&", just enter two tags, separated only by a space. Xmarks will automatically assume the AND operation.
So, selecting multiple tags doesn't work, that's a pity. But at least you can search for it.

OK, that's good. Still want multiselect though. I'm picky.
