Preview, quite a core piece of OSX, has stopped working on my machine. Quickview and Adobe Reader still work, so it's not a wider problem with PDFs. Below are the top few lines of the auto-generated problem report.

Any ideas?? I guess it doesn't make much difference day to day but something is obviously wrong here. In other news, Spotlight keeps re-indexing my hard disk every hour or two. Maybe these problems are related? Any help much appreciated...

Thanks,

Will

Trashed preferences? Logged out or restarted? Tried a different account? Restored the app from the Leopard disc?

Looks like corrupt files. You could try rerunning the latest combo update, but if that won't work, you'll have to restore from the installation disc.

Thanks guys, must have been a corrupted file. Preview isn't one of the apps you can reinstall separately from the Leopard disk but luckily someone on another forum had put a copy on his iDisk.

(See here)

Cheers,

Will
