it seems to me that terminal.app's "prompt before closing" feature, which i have set to "always", only works for the last term open in a window with several tabs of terms. is there no way to make it work for all tabs open?

if what i mean isn't clear, set your terminal.app to always prompt before closing. open a term, then open a tab. you'll find that you can cmd-w close all tabs that are open without any warning except for the last, and the last will generate the prompt before closing.

As long as I have programs running in the tabs, they will prompt before they close for me.

i could have sworn this didn't work correctly for me the other day when i had vi open, but i am unable to reproduce. it would still be nice if this worked correctly when connected to a remote host over ssh, but just sitting at a shell (that, i just confirmed doesn't prompt), but that's far less of a problem.
