IDFusion Launches Mac App Store Bodega

IDFusion has launched Bodega, software that lets users purchase and download a variety of applications for Mac OS X. The program is starting with 150 titles, to which IDFusion has said it will soon be adding more. The company is consciously trying to avoid the problems of the iTunes App Store, which has had numerous complaints regarding rejections. Apple's decision to reject Google Voice last week prompted an FCC inquiry.
Sounds promising, and the company is right: If Apple had any desire to do this, it would have done so already.

Except for the huge awning, its a well done app and is pretty much exactly what everyone who was supporting the Finder App Directory was talking about. It's not a store, but a directory. I've already got SimpleTask on it.

If it takes off I'm sure Apple will purchase it. I congratulate the company for building this software platform.

I've tried to get Paintbrush on it, but I never got the confirmation email for my developer account. Hmm...

I can’t wait! 3 week approval process for every Mac Application in OS X 10.8, rejected Dictionaries, jailbreak to run unsigned code on computers, etc…

For about the 5,000th time, this app has no control over apps, it is simply a directory, and a Mac App Store would be the exact same thing. If Apple were to set up a Mac App Store that was anything other than a native version of their downloads section, they would lose so many customers and developers so fast.
