I am desperately trying to get hold of Adobe Golive (preferably for the Mac.)

does anybody know where I can buy it?

GoLive was discontinued in early 2008. The last version was a standalone product, GoLive 9. The last bundled version of GoLive was CS2. You could try eBay and find a version that works on your G4.

I have tried ebay and can only find version 4
