I know there was a tweak to get rid of it in an earlier version of Safari. It has returned with 4.0.3, and I want no part of it!

Does anybody remember how to get rid of it?

do you want to get rid of just the button or top sites functionality altogether?

to remove the button, look in Safari Preferences > Bookmarks.

If you want to stop Top Sites from coming up when you open a new tab then also go to Safari Preferences and have the "new tabs open with" option be something else besides top sites.
