Can I import imovie 3 projects into imovie 9?

	I recorded some video with my canon zr80 dv cam today and when I went to plug it in I realized my mbp doesnt have fw400... I need to get this done tonight. I'm importing the files into imovie 3 on an old tower I have. Can I open the project in 9 and use the clips? If not any ideas? thanks!
