i've been using the app Vox for some time as an alternative to itunes (when i want to check out some songs NOT in my library, etc), works great...except, not in 10.6.

i cannot open audiofiles (i deleted prefs, reinstalled the app).

so, anyone know of a simple audiofile player that WILL work in 10.6? (or MIGHT work in 10.6...)

Column view and the preview pane, along with quicklook have more than fulfilled my needs

beyond that, snapper would be my rockingest choice, though not quite what you're asking.

quicklook is fine for single files; sometimes i want to play a folder of mp3s (for example); Vox is (WAS) perfect for that...

snapper is more (and, at $80, more than i want to spend!) than i need...



edit: i can drag a folder of mp3s onto the app and works fine, so...usable for now (btw, this is a great lightweight FREE app!)
