I was sort of looking forward to having Exchange support in Mail with Snow Leopard. However, it still isn't working for me. Besides the fact that it takes forever for the account setup wizard to realize there is a problem (sitting for like a 5 minute beachball while it tries to connect), I get an error that I can't connect to the server.

Neither the "Exchange 2007" or "Exchange IMAP" options work.

To add confusion, we access the Internet from work through a proxy. I've tried setting up the local domain name as being bypassed by the proxy, but this doesn't work either.

Of course, I have no idea if this is a server set up issue, in which case I'm obviously SOL and have to stick with Parallels.

Has anybody successfully setup mail with Exchange at a company where you are behind a proxy server?

Steve

P.S. I can actually now ping the mail server, so I am suspect as to why Mail can't connect.

I am a network admin and I can't get it to work on my own network. I have Essential Business Server from MS and it has exchange 2007 with ISA server out front. If anyone knows what I need to do on the server end to get this to work please let me know. I bought leopard just for this feature and nothing else. I have not problem accessing it via outlook rcp/https and I can access OWA with no problems. I always tried to get Entourage to work and never could but from what I read it was an Entourage shortcoming more than anything else. This is frustrating.
