This happened three times today.

I close an ad window, and I get the download window.

It says I have downloaded something called "desktop-1".

I can't see it on my desktop, but when I look for it it's there, and its location is given as: desktop. It is a folder, and it's defined as zero kb. It also gives you, right after that "download", an empty browser window.

A new malicious trick? It happened once on imdb.com, which is a serious website.

I can only find and see it it by using the search function in the hard drive window.

Any comments on this?

Would be helpful if you could post the last URL you were visiting when this happened.

This was the url:

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb)

I wouldn't be worried about imdb. But it happened on a link posted in a photographer forum, and the link looked shifty and didn't return anything. I'll see if I can find that link, too.

The browser was the most recent version of Safari 4.
