When I check the autofill box (under Safari prefs) for my address book and click edit, my address book opens. I then click on my own card and it opens in a small new window. But when filling out a form for a catalog sale on the internet no lines autofill. What am I missing?

You have to select "Autofill form" from the Edit menu or add the autofill button to your toolbar.

Thanks, I see that. Also, I found that within Address Book you need to highlight your personal card then go under "Card" in the menu and select "Make This My Card". Then it should all work. Still, it would have been easier for ALL to just have a "form" pref within Safari to fill in once with this information.

The old IE used to be like that, but it's somewhat limiting, and anybody who just opens your web browser can get your information. With so many sources of information these days and with security issues in mind, keeping that info in a secure app is a better option.

For an even better option, try out 1Password.
