Hi, I am looking for a utility that will assemble multiple AVCHD .mts files (from a Canon HD camcorder) into a single .mts file, and/or quickly convert to MPEG4 without a lot of rendering/re-encoding. Any suggestions?
Also, can a stock Macbook Pro (13") play these AVCHD files?

ffmpeg -i input1.mts -i input2.mts -i input3.mts -vcodec copy -acodec copy -o movie.mp4
Change the audio codec to aac and specify a bitrate if you want to transcode the audio from AC3 to AAC.

Yes, playing them is no problem.
