TidBITS Just for Fun: Microsoft Word 5.1 for Mac OS X

I didn't know this existed. The link is dead, now. Anyone here manage to download it when they were offering it?

I would love to get Word 5.1a on OS X.

Yes, I did. I was hoping someone here might've gotten it and still has it.

Word 5.1a was from 1991 and is, to this day, the best version of Microsoft Word ever made.

Much as I'd love to have an OS X version of it, it was written for System 6.

And it must be Dense Week™ if such an obvious April Fools' joke slips by.

I run Sheepshaver in Leopard so that I can play Shanghai II, pretty much the best mahjong solitaire ever. I imagine Word 5.1 would run just fine, though I've never tried. Quark is said to run just fine, so Word 5.1 shouldn't be a problem.
