I'm sure this has been beat to death here, but I'm having no luck getting iTunes 7.6.1 to cooperate.
Here's my dilemma. Running 7.6.1, iTunes files previously lived on a external Seagate firewire drive. Was
beginning to have problems with the drive, so I created a new folder on my iMac and copied everything on the
drive to this folder now sitting on my desktop. I formatted a 250Gb Maxtor USB drive to move the files to that
now sit in the new folder I created. After multiple tries, I get no where with the move. I've copied all the files
from the new folder holding the individual files to the Maxtor. I chose the Maxtor drive in the Advanced iTunes
menu, click okay, and then I get progress window saying "updating library". I open iTunes and files can't be
located. What am I missing?
