I've looked in my Libraries, Spotlight and at Macupdate but can't find a Flash uninstaller.

I'd like to see what kind of affect it would make to my browsing speed in Safari without it. It seems that when I visit a site with no Flash it's snappy. But most sites I visit with Flash slows it right down. I'm suspecting that Flash is the cause of this slowness, from what I've been reading.

At Macupdate I was considering updating Flash hoping that it would rectify the situation, but the comments posted there are very, very negative, to say the least.

What exactly would I miss without Flash? (besides annoying ads)

You're better off installing Click2Flash which suppresses Flash until you click on it when desired.

The plug-in is at /Library/Internet Plug-ins/

you may also want to try a different version of flash player, depending on your machine etc.

I second Click2Flash, you may run across the odd site that you want to use Flash on, but Click2Flash will not load the SWF files by default until you tell it to.

+1 for Click2Flash. Brilliant little addition.

Click2Flash is very cool, but I wish it wo rked as well as the FlashBlock Firefox add-on. There are some movies that don't seem  to work for me w. Click2Flash, requiring me  to jump into Firefox or whitelist them.


It's also telling that there is an add-on like this that has become so popular th at is designed to circumvent the normal fun ctionality of a website.
