I just purchased the Newton Virus for mac but it's not installing. I download the file, then drag it into my flash drive. I then double click on it to enter the serial number but I get this error every time:

The Newton Virus must be run from a USB stick
Please drag the Newton Virus application icon to your USB stick in Finder and run it from there.

I'm not sure what to do, thanks.

Did you drag a disk image to the USB stick? If the file ended with .dmg, then what you need to do is open the disk image and copy the application inside to your USB stick.

Yes, I did the above. After I drag the app onto the disk and double click on it from there, I get that error message.

The disk image (the .DMG file) is just that-an image of a disc. It won't run anything unless you mount it.

You have to follow the instructions in the error message: open the .DMG file on your Mac's desktop, locate the app's icon in the new window, and drag that to your USB drive.
