Im on X 10.5.8
I use Safari 4.0.3 for a about half of my stuff,
I decided the first 'zoom in' is what Id like it to do as default

ie when I start it again

how might I do this?

I don't think you can. If you are willing to switch to Firefox I think there are plug-ins that will do what you want.

It's possible to do in Safari. You can use a custom style sheet to change the default zoom.

Paste the following into TextEdit:

body {
zoom: 150%;
}

Then do Format->Convert to raw text. Save the file as "custom.css" (uncheck the "Use .txt suffix" checkbox). Select this custom style sheet in Safari->Preferences->Advanced.

Obviously you can change the zoom level to your vision.

I cant seem to find the

Format->Convert to raw text

part of the file. under Format I have Font, Text, make plain text, prevent editing etc

any further help greatly appreciated!

The Firefox plug-in is called NoSquint.
