Hello:

Using Adobe CS4 and would like to uninstall Flash but leave the rest of the components installed (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), is it possible to only remove one component and leave the rest?

I've searched here, on Adobe's website, and also used Google but haven't found anything.

thanks,

You mean, just remove the Flash CS4 app? Simply trashing the Applications > Flash CS4 folder should do it. No harm will come to any of the other CS4 apps. Any shared CS4 pieces will be in other directories (like Library)

Are you just clearing space on your HD, or is there some other reason you're wanting to delete the Flash app?

CS4 Read Me

IMPORTANT: Mac OS has new uninstall functionality. DO NOT drag applications to the trash to uninstall them. To safely uninstall on Mac OS X, double-click the uninstall alias located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers or in the Application folder. Authenticate as an administrator, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Thanks for the replies folks.

I actually just uninstalled everything then reinstalled the components I needed. Didn't take that long. I was worried about deleting manually the application because of the way the various components are integrated via Bridge or whatever it's called as well as the various preferences, caches, etc. stored in random places. Only took 15 minutes to reinstall.
