I'm looking to make a virtual tour of my house. Unfortunately i have to sell, and think a VR Tour would help me sell it quicker. I have a great digital camera and i might as well put it to use.
What software should i use to make the tour?
anyone have any experience doing them?

QTVR remains supported. If you have an OS 9 install lying around, you can still view the sample files using QT 7.6.x (not sure about QT X):
System Folder/Help/Mac Help/mm/shrd/Sample object (Apple Coffee Mug)
System Folder/Help/Mac Help/mm/shrd/Sample Panorama (Apple Campus)
You can find samples today hosted by Apple here:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/technologies/qtvr/
They list authoring tools here:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/resou...authoring.html
The preferred solution used to be Apple QuickTime VR Authoring Studio. You can still buy it on Amazon. But it's a little pricey, and I somehow doubt it's Carbonized. System 7.5 or later, so that means Classic on PPC up through Tiger.

Uhm, let me see: It's NOT dead because there is an overpriced authoring solution that only runs on Macs many years old, using even older OS.

Turtle, follow the links. Apple has current pages on QTVR, and suggested authoring packages. You focused on the historical link at the bottom.

Dare I suggest that Apple's Authoring Tools page hasn't been updated in a while ?
Adobe GoLive ? "Development and sales ended on April 28, 2008"
Kaydara MotionBuilder? Dead. Link to Autodesk.
MediaWorks ? WTF ?
Totally Hip LiveSlideShow ? Dead. WTF ?
This is a f*cking embarrassment. Nice find, Reader

Sigh. The idea is to help the OP.
Use this page of mirrored QTVR dev utilities from Apple. The one you want is the MakeCubic_v1.1.6.sit file. It is free. And it's Carbon, unlike the MakePanorama utility.
Use PhotoShop (or other utility of your choice) to assemble a panorama pic. Make sure the left/right sides match against each other (no overlap). Then use MakeCubic to turn it into a QTVR.
I was able to find other authoring solutions, but they cost $50 and up.
