Is there a virtual CD burner app for 10.3.9? (Noteburner says it requires 10.4.)

Disk Utility should be able to create a new disk image, which you can then copy data onto.

Whatever version of Toast that still worked on 10.3.9 could write images.

Not talking about making disc images. Talking about an app that virtualizes the CD burner hardware and fools iTunes into thinking it's burning to a real CD. (Noteburner does just that, but it says it requires at least OS 10.4.)

/dev/null ? It will accept large data streams.

I'm not sure what you are aiming for here. To see how iTunes handles burning errors, by simulating them? Or creating a CD burner for one of The Sims. That way, you could teach them to ... um, never mind.

Maybe he's looking to strip drm by burning to CD, but doesn't want to waste CD's?

That's why somebody told him to suck it up and pay the 30cents per song.
