I had a suspicion about the file being created in a temporairy location, and while researching I found this thread, which may prove useful!

Select: Hard Drive > "Users" > ~current user > "Library" > "Autosave Information"

Get info on the "Autosave Information" folder and click on the lock icon at the bottom. After authenticating, chose the "plus" sign to add a user. Select yourself from the list. Once your name is in the list, give yourself Read and Write privileges in the drop-down menu on the left.
