(solved my own problem... if a moderator would like to delete this thread, go right ahead)

I have PowerBook running the latest Mac OS X 10.4 software with the latest 3.6.3 Firefox.
From the admin account, I can access FaceBook just fine.
From a specific user account, I can get to Welcome to Facebook | Facebook just fine, but when I try to login I get a page that says:

The connection was interrupted
The connection to login.facebook.com was interrupted while the page was loading.

I have tried deleting all cookies and caches.

The only thing peculiar since a couple weeks ago when that worked fine is that I had turned on Parental Controls on this account, but then turned them back off this morning to give my son access. But now he gets this error.

I have rebooted... updated 10.4... updated Firefox... disabled all Firefox plugins... deleted all cookies and caches... still no go.
Testing from Safari gives the same result.
But, as I said, if I login as Administrator and try it, it works fine.

So, it seems it is not an issue with the machine or the network... and not an issue with the browser or browser settings... but rather an issue with this particular Mac OS X account.

Suggestions on what to try next?

Safari's error message may give a better clue:

... because Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server "login.facebook.com".

Did Parental Controls shut off all access to all secure sites (I don't remember that setting)?

Uhhh... never mind... I guess Parental Controls thinks that "block porn" is the same as "block https"... allowing porn seems to have fixed the problem.
