I tried to bump the original thread, but it was too old.
Since there is virtually no help to be found regarding JNNS and SNNS on the internet, this is probably as good a place as any to see if the "Part 1" thread posters are still involved.
So here goes:
I've got JavaNNS up and running and have for the past 10 days been trying to figure out how to process new test cases through the trained net.
My current believe is that the Java GUI has failed to incorporate this while the SNNS GUI does.
However, while they maintained some of the SNNS GUI layouts, they have changed some of them dramatically so that knowing how to do it in SNNS will do you no good.
To make matters worse, the JavaNNS user manual which is very short is OK explaining how to build and train nets. But anything thereafter is nothing more than short paragraphs with a general description of what a particular GUI does.
And it doesn't stop there. There are a lot of README files in the examples, however, they explain how to do things in SNNS so there is no help there either.
Just one complete exmaple is worth so much. I am still trying to find a complete example and so far I've found nothing.
Any help from the previous posters on this thread would be of great help, however it is so stale, it sounds like no one ever did much with JNNS.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Tom
