IWork text problem

	I just moved my data with some difficulty from a IBook to a new macbook running 11.6.4 . I have reloaded IWork 08. When I bring up a Pages or numbers document the text color is light blue rather than black under some condition it is whit and invisible. I have tried using the inspectors and color wheel to change the color of the text without success. I have tried selecting existing text and the black color cause the text to turn white! When I try to enter new text with the color set to black it also is white. Any idea what is wrong? Help is of no help.
