Hey Guys,

So I'm trying to create an archive that doesn't create a folder containing the compressed files, I simply want it to extract all the files in the location as is. I know I was able to do this in winzip, but haven't found a mac version of a tool to do it with.

Anyone know a way to do it within OS X or software that does this?

Thanks.

I looked at just a couple options quickly -- the OS X built-in extractor and a very nice app called the Unarchiver -- and both do not have the option to dump extracted files to a place outside the zipped folder, as far as I could tell from a very quick test.

The Unarchiver is excellent and you may want to investigate it further in case I missed that option. If you don't have any luck, I think your best bet is to ask the developer to implement the feature. That app seems to be updated regularly with good work and features.
