*don't know if this goes in "Gaming" or "Troubleshooting" Sorry if I'm wrong.

Hello. I'm using a pretty old Powerbook G4 Mac though it is more than enough to run Warcraft III. I used to have the CD, though I lost it so I went on the Blizzard store to give them my CD Key for a digital download. I got downloaded a "Blizzard Downloader" which started a download for roughly 650mb. After it finished I clicked on Warcraft III installer, and it came up with a animated menu.

Play Warcraft III
View Manual
Customer Support

So I clicked on play game, however the screen pretty much just reloaded and nothing else happened. I keep clicking it and nothing else happens. There's no error message or anything so it's been pretty hard to search for similar problems.

Also I don't even know if I'm doing the installation correctly. In the folder that the downloader downloaded there is:

DirectX
Installer
Installer tome.mpq
Installer.exe

I click on Installer and it has the broken menu I said earlier.
Installer tome.mpq is roughly ~550 mb and when I click on it it says "Insert Warcraft III disk" which doesn't make sense considering it's a digital download.
And Installer.exe and Direct X are just things I have no idea what they are.

I've tried redownloading the installer as well as trying to play it on 2 separate computers. No luck.
Hopefully some people actually read this post. Any help would be great.

Sounds like you downloaded the Windows version. A .exe is a Windows executable file.

And you might still need a disk. I'd contact Blizzard support.

Haha oh jesus. I figured it out. Apparently I already had the game installed somewhere farrrr away on my hard drive prompting the installation menu to show "Play game" instead of "Install"

My bad.

And it's not the windows version. It's just in the folder for some reason. The installer wouldn't have opened in the first place if it wasn't mac compatible.

Thanks anyways.
