Hotmail issue with Mail

Let me explain my problem.
I have properly configurated or so i think the Mail app for retriving my hotmail account email, but i have one little issue, sometimes i use the hotmail web access and i see that NO mail that i mark as read in the Mail client gets mark as read in the hotmail web front.
This doesnt happen with my gmail account, everything that i mark as read get mark read in the gmail web front end.
Does anybody nows if i have to configure something else in the Mail app, or as usual with hotmail being Windows stuff is not possible to do what i want?

Last I checked, Hotmail supports POP3 only, not IMAP. Therefore, if you use POP3 with the setting to leave messages on the server you will not have consistent message flags such as the "read" flag across accounts since there is no concept of message flags supported by this protocol.
I would suggest using an account that supports IMAP if you want to access your mailbox from multiple devices.

Thanks for the info  , i have too many stuff already link to that account, i can not change to another

Do you mean stuff other than mail? Mail is easily transferrable.

No i ment that too many people use hotmail email for contacting me, so using another email provider is not an option 
But is just a minor problem i don't mind that the webmail of hotmail doesnt get mark read.
