Hi Guys,

This has been driving me nuts for a while. I searched the forums here but couldn't find anything, or had the search function stall out on me (bummer).

Anyhow, I want my minimized iTunes to stay in the bottom left corner of my screen. However, whenever I maximize then minimize it, the window is returned just above the dock. Accordingly, it gets hidden behind all of my open windows making it difficult to glance at what's playing in the background.

Am I missing a simple way to force iTunes to disregard the dock and return to the true bottom of my screen?

I have iTunes 10.0.1 running on Mac OSX 10.5.8.

Thanks in advance!

This bugs me too, but there's no way to fix it that I've found.

If you move the dock to the left or right side iTunes will stay at the bottom...but the dock on the side doesn't seem natural for me...

Can't help you with the positioning issue. However,

Preferences -> Advanced:
✓ Keep Mini Player on top of all other windows

will solve your other issue.

Yeah, I'm realizing it's more a limitation (some might say feature) of the Finder. The same thing was happening with DVD Player, except that it wouldn't even let me manually put the player viewer in the bottom corner.

Sigh. I suspect there's some tiny variable to be changed deep in the Finder's underpinnings, but I'll never find it.
