Hi all,

My buddy runs a music shop, and had been using a version of Quickbooks as his point of sale software. However, they have since stopped supporting the version he has, and wants a buttload of cash to upgrade him. He's looking for alternatives. He's running a PC, reasonably modern, but not a powerhouse by any stretch.

What do any of you use for this type of software? He's willing to try almost anything, but it obviously needs to be stable, and supported, as he's not a computer whiz.

I know a few Mac-based shops that use this. They have a PC version, too. They've been around a while, and seem stable.

Any good POS software will cost money, though, and I have no clue how they compare with QuickBooks POS cost-wise.
