Lately I've noticed that iTunes occasionally starts running for no reason. In other words, I didn't turn it on, but somehow it was running nevertheless. Anyone else have this problem? Know how to fix it?

Check out the "accounts" preference pane in your system preferences and your "login items" for the current user. It might have got added there.

It could also be detecting a USB device being connected and interpreting that as an iPod/iPhone/iPad being connected. By default iTunes will open when any "iDevice" is connected to the computer.
