Howdy, All,

Posted this question to another forum a couple of months ago but never got a response.

Have been on Mac for less than a year, but am fairly competent with 'puter in general. Now I Kinda wish I hadn't spent all those years with... well, you know.

Trying to get multi-select (Shift-Click, Ctrl/Cmd-Click) to work through MacPorts RealVNC viewer to a 'doze box. Believe it's an X issue as COTVNC works fine (though IMHO it's a bit slower than the RealVNC port). Have tried all combinations of CTRL/ALT/CMD I can think of, but can only get one item at a time to select in the remote window, no matter what the app.

Alas, have only had other 'doze boxes to test with.

Has anyone gotten this working, or know a place to point me to figure it out? The Oracle at Google seems reticent to discuss the issue.

Thanks, take care!

Why don't you use RDP rather than VNC? Keyboard mapping is always a PITA with VNC, but if you are connecting to a Windows machine the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection software works fine.

Thanks, that's a good idea; unfortunately on the remote side it's only available for the Pro version of 'doze; Home versions have that capability disabled.
