Hey all,

I just wanted to propose a possible solution to a few threads I've seen on here:

Safari stops loading websites and seems to choke on'em

Safari stops loading pages

You guys should check to see if the Video accelerator that comes on some versions of OSX is enabled. If it is, quit Safari, close the accelerator, restart the computer and see if Safari will work after that.

This seems to help the issue in my case. I noticed it when Safari would choke up on video heavy sites. Hope that helps!

Reags: I just press the turbo button on my computer. It's the big key between the two command keys on my keyboard.

Where is this download accelerator and how do I disable it? I've been having this issue and its very frustrating. I couldn't find speed bit installed anywhere. is it hidden? Are there any other solutions to this problem?

Are you running SpeedBit ?

(I don't really see why anybody ought to, but the above suggestion pertained to this thing)
