Hi Expert
Client of mine has got MacBook with Mac OS X 10.6.6
I do not know what he has done to his MacBook now whenever I start the operation system or shutdown the "Device Selector" applet or window pops us with the following details
Code:
Connection Type
Choose the setup type that best suits your need
USB
Network
i guess he connected his brother printer and he didn't complete the installation
if I answer the question(s) and complete what sounds like an installation wizard that doesn't make it stop asking me the same question
I have looked at the login items list in the Users system preference panel, but the printer installer was not there.
How can I disable this annoying message ?
Thanks

Now my client doesn't to install brother because he has already installed samsung printer.
Now I want to stop that annoying message every time when we boot Mac it pops up

I got the impression from the linked article that he just has to answer that setup question once. Otherwise, he can always just delete that application...

Are saying that he can delete the printer's driver by following the instructions below and that should stop the annoying message pops up ?
# Delete the "Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Preferences/Brother" folder.
# Delete the "Library/Image Capture/TWAIN Data Sources/Brother TWAIN.ds" file.
# Delete the "Library/Printers/Brother/Utilities/ControlCenter" and "Library/Printers/Brother/Utilities/DeviceSelector" folders.
# Restart computer.
# Empty your trash.

I think he could just delete the deviceselector app. If that doesn't work then delete and reinstall the driver package.
