I'm very very unhappy.

I recently logged in to mobileme and I got an "upgrade your calendars" message. Well, I did that, and now they are all gone. I only found out when I opened my iphone and saw that the calendars were gone there (I sync'd this morning), and then I logged into mobileme and saw they were gone there too.

I am very very unhappy, I had thousands of annotated entries in my calendars (!@£! I can't even find out where I am supposed to meet someone this afternoon, arrrgh).. Anyone else experience this and, more importantly, recover from it?

Help?

I don't have great advice, but my suggestion would be to request a callback from MobileMe support. When my mother lost her inbox email I put in a request for a support callback and they got the email recovered that day. The mail never should have been lost, but at least they got it back for her. I would think they could do the same for your calendar data.

Wow. Sorry to hear about this. I can't recommend a fix either. Mobileme is starting to scare me for this exact reason.

Hope you are able to recover your calendars.

Good luck.

Hi Big Mac and ClaraT,

yeah, very scary. I've just had a real-time chat with a tech in the US (I'm in the UK), and he's had to escalate it up a level (hopefully I'll get my follow-up email soon).

As they say: "to err is human, to really foul things up takes a computer".

I'll keep you informed (maybe my experience will help someone else).

Cheers!

FIXED!!!
Got scared as hell, too, when I updated my calendars. Everything disappeared on my Mac Pro, and then later on my Mac Book Air (in which I had backed up my calendars, in case). Reinstalled my backed up Calendars, resynced, and poof, gone again. At least I still had the backup (small consolation).

Went to the System prefs in MobileMe, but everything seemed OK. Then went in prefs in iCal, and saw that there was no account info at all! So I added a MobileMe account, and bingo, everything re-appeared. Phew. Same fix worked in my MacBook Air.

Now I'm a happy camper.

I'm under the impression, so correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're running 10.5.8 you don't get to upgrade to this new calendar on Mobileme due to system requirements?

I lost everything also.
And, I went to ical preferences and disactivated iCal synch and push, but all keeps updating constantly on mobile me.
An other thing, why would Apple leave synch options in System Preferences AND in iCal preferences? It's just confusing and so sloppy of Apple.
I'm just sick of Mobile Me.
