If I move dvd player to an external enclosure (from MBP), what software will play movie movie dvds? I take it Apple's dvd player doesn't support external drives?

VLC does a great job playing DVDs.

I don't have an external drive to test it with, but why wouldn't Apple's DVD player work with an external drive? That's the only way you can get access to a drive on the MacBook Air. And the app supports opening of DVD media using the file browser, so long as the disc was mounted it should work in theory.

Anything else besides VLC? Couldn't get it to recognize the external dvd
