Can't update or download apps on iPad. Turns out everyone is getting a 5002 error. What gives?

Use AppZapper to deinstall iTunes and then re-download it off the apple site.

Don't ask; it's the only known solution.

Well, it used to be the only known solution to that particular error (I had a client with the exact error number last week, and that was what solved it for her).

It appears that the other course of action at this point is for Apple to complete the switchover to iCloud: Widespread Outages Reported for Apple's iOS and Mac App Stores and iTunes Store - Mac Rumors
