ok so in my imovie 9 the preview window is this messed up pixelated gray image (not moving)
when i scroll over my mini project thumb and when i open it up to edit it some times plays audio but usually not the right audio also all my event video plays ok with audio and i have like 200 hours of video in my events (estimated) and my hard drive has a good 618gb of free space oh and did i mention all my 426 projects are effected btw i have the snow leopard 10.6.7

please answer cuz i have a large fan base waiting for youtube videos and this has been going on for a long time

i have tried...

restarting imovie
restarting hard drive (and ejecting)
restarting mac
clearing p-RAM
restating imovie...
and ya a lot of that
