i have begun (late) my ipod touch v1 to learn about moving video files to such devices in prep for an iPad at some point.

I use elgato turbo.264 HD and videora for most transformations but neither seem to like wmv files. the iTunes lib and pod dont like them either.

is there a freeware/shareware program that can prep these files so either of the two programs above can deal with them?

QT takes the wmv and can copy and past ending up with a .mov but that files is also disagrees with what I have.

Handbrake also finds them unappetizing.

Leawo has an app that will convert .wmv files into .mp4 or h.264 format. I had no trouble converting some of my Halo Reach videos from Bungie.net. Best of all it's free.

interesting tip. I DL's the app and then ran a wmv file. it worked great but the file was not view-able

so then I popped it into both elgato turbo and Videora and that product was view-able.

thanks
