There used to be some information about this at http://www.macease.com/writenow-latest_info.html, though it’s vague about which versions of MacLinkPlus will work. The page, though not the site, has gone away, but it’s still available at WriteNow-Latest Info.

FYI: Your link is broken by a superfluous semicolon. There was great information in that thread; I doubt there will be many other suggestions aside from what was found there.
