Ok, I'm stumped. I've been trying to convert short video clips (.mpg) into looped animated gifs and can only get half way. I'm using OS X (10.6.4) and have the following apps: QuickTime Player 7 Pro, GraphicConverter 6.6.1, GIFfun 4.2, and Gimp 2.6.11. I'm already able to use QT Pro to "Export" the file to "Movie to Image Sequence," which gives me about 100 individual .bmp files, one for each frame. But I don't know how to convert those into a looped animated GIF. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

You could try gifninja.com or a similar service. It's been a while since I created an animated GIF but I used to do it with Photoshop or Fireworks. I'm not familiar with those other image editors, unfortunately. They may have something similar to PS, though, where you can import a sequence of images to individual layers. With the animation palette, you then turn layers off as you progress frame by frame. Set the duration for each frame, set the loop and export. Hope that gives you some direction if you haven't figured it out already.

dugost, Thanks for the reply. I actually figured it out. I just drop the folder containing all the .bmp files onto the GIFfun window, press "Make GIF," and that's it. Couldn't be easier. Thanks again, though.
