I installed a Mac Mini which I can remote into using Apple Remote Desktop and it works pretty well. Its fast enough to use comfortably whenever I log into it.

The owner of the Mac Mini wishes to control it from a PC. We have tried UltraVNC on the PC by enabling the VNC password on the Mac which works but its very very slow. I also tested Teamviewer which was even slower.

Has anyone got any ideas for other setups I could test or a way to improve the speed for remote access?

I still like LogMeIn very much. It seems faster than regular VNC.
Setup is effortless, and it use works.

IMO, the fastest is remote screen sharing app is Apple Remote Desktop.

As much as I love ARD, Microsofts RDC is much much faster or at least much more bandwidth efficient. I can control several PCs at once over ADSL with RDC, ARD usually requires me to switch to black & white to make it usable. My suspicion is that the clients internet connection is ultimately the problem but of course it used to work fine before the Mac went in and they were remotely accessing a PC.

I have't tried Litemanager though, I'll go take a look thanks.
