When I boot up in SD's Sandbox partition on my external HD, I can't use Add (new words) in Microsoft's Word Custom dictionary. It works fine when I boot up from the Mac HD. Given Sandbox is sharing the same apps, I can't figure out why this is. I even tried using Sandbox with all the applications copied to it, so it didn't have to share them with the Mac HD. No luck. The Custom box is always unchecked and reverts immediately to unchecked after I check it, leaving Add permanently gray. Suggestions from MS and SD where no help. Maybe a brainy MacNN reader can?
