Often repeated recent typing, ie in search engines, I usually forget to copy the entry before clicking search.

Is there a nice small app that remembers recent typing, perhaps presenting it to TextEdit, or a similar display, with line breaks as entered into webpage, to make it easy for repeated typing of the same phrase ?

TIA

The Text & Language pref pane in System Preferences allows you to define text shortcuts. So does TypeIt4Me.

I'm not sure I understand exactly how you'd want this to work, though.

Something that works like this...

1) Search Amazon

2) Search ebay

3) Search Google

4) etc

Producing an on screen auto updating list like this, I can highlight and paste

AA rechargeable

AA rechargeable battery

AA rechargeable nimh

AAA to AA converter

or...

Function keys remembering the last 10 phrases typed ?

I seem to remember, in the long distant past, this was available in WIndows.

or

Multiple copy, similar to above, scrolling back through typing, again in Windows a while back.
