We are looking for a software app to track our hardware and software serial numbers.

Our studio has about a dozen Mac and we need to track our software licenses and
serail numbers for the studio. Is there an app made for tracking serial numbers for
multiple users?
Swing hard in case you hit it!!

Why not just use a spreadsheet app (Excel, Numbers...) ?

An app would be a complete overkill, and probably make entering information much more tedious than a spreadsheet.

I use Excel for many similar purposes, making full use of formulaes for auto updates of value, and days since / to an event, to name just a couple.

Simple Maths most of them.

Just need to format cells correctly, depending on Data.

I Format serial numbers cells as text.

You could give each user a background colour too.

If budget is a consideration look at

Also think excel can do a pretty well job. Just use it to run my operation.
