Hey everyone,
First post here on the forums. I just created my first video at work, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback.
I wanted to use stills to try to make a time lapse type of thing to show an artist drawing a mural. Is there a way to crop it so all the stills line up perfectly?
Also, I just got final cut pro. Is there anything that FC could do for this video that iMovie can't?
Positive or negative feedback appreciated. My feelings won't be hurt. Thank you!
Joe

Ah shoot, I was trying to make it so it didn't look like spam! We're genuinely looking for feedback, since we're all new to iMovie. We were having some trouble with the cropping. It got kind of jumpy.

The problem is the still shots - the camera isn't in the exact same location each time. Use a heavier tripod and a remote shutter switch. So the camera doesn't get nudged by pressing the button manually.
I don't know your answer on FCP, but I expect it can align jittery frames. Or that a plugin can. They need to do things like this for Matrix-around-the-character shots.

If the stills are shot from a tripod, you can copy the settings from each clip and apply them to the next using the Edit menu.
