I bought my b/f a kindle fire HD for xmas, he was looking forward to using it on xmas day because he thought he could view his comics on it using the comixology app. Sadly there is no way of doing this through the kindle fire HD in the uk. I was just wondering if there was any way of downloading the app and installing it on the kindle without going through amazon as technically it is a android tablet.

Or is there a way to make his amazon account american so he can buy them still. He is able to buy them on his iphone but he done that through itunes.

Also on another note, i have plugged it into my mac and it doesn't seem to recognise it at all.

I don't have insight into the UK system for comiXology, that is a major disappointment and l feel for your boyfriend if he is missing out great stuff like this.

As an avid Mac user and Kindle Fire HD user, I can tell you that transferring CBR and CBZ comic files is a very simple after downloading Android-File Transfer utility.
