Recently "upgraded" to OS 10.1.5 and I've been experiencing terrible screen refresh problems running Quark in Classic Mode. Any words of advice out there?

PS: running Quark 4.11 on 867 Powermac

Thanks!

I've experienced re-draw problems with Quark alot. I don't think it's your OS. I believe it's an issue with Quark itself.

I've seen it consistently since like OS 8 or so.

what kind of refresh problems? The usual quark text getting shifted about mid-ascender or artifacts while live dragging? Or are things going white and leaving blank chunks out of the canvas. former = quark issue latter = classic issue. try....dare i say it...running it under 9 for a while, if it works "fine" (I use this term loosely) then you have quark issues with classic mode and you have a tough decision to make. if it DOESN'T work right then resume your previously scheduled quark bitch session.

this seems to be better for me in 10.2..I don't know if it's just me, or if something got fixed..

I also heard that if you turn on the Live scroll in the prefs, that can help as well

it still does it to me from time to time, but not as often as it did before.

you can always hit command option- period to force refresh the screen as well
