Ok, trying to design a logo for my web site, and I keep drawing up blanks...

Fat Mac is the main text or "theme" I'm trying to keep with (the Apple 512k Fat Mac).

First it was going to be an all text logo, but that's pretty darn bland.

Then I was going to use a picture of my friends beer gut with his finger in his bellybutton, but that's just gross.

Then I was going to use a 512k (aka Fat Mac) as the background for the logo, with text wrapping rainbow style above it.

But that was changed to an OS X folder with Fat Mac branded on it, with binary #'s streched thru the folder (nearly transparent).

But seeing how a Fat Mac runs like system 6, I'd be better off using the folder styles from < Mac OS 9.2

I'm probably sticking with the 9.2 style icons & such, but I wanted a clean, modern look, but wouldn't that clash with a theme based on a computer from 1988?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

hmmmm....a "5" could look like a beer belly if treated right. choice of face could help. guess that might bridge the gap between icon and wordmark.

How about you use Photoshop to give the picture of the 512k (aka Fat Mac) your friend's beer gutt and then add your wordmark or type-on-an-arc!?!

Why not try to create a stylized illustration (small) of the Fat Mac. Use this same stylization on the other icons at your site and you'll have a nice, coordinated look.
