The only "up" about when I used a Windows computer was that a screenshot could be taken at the press of a button on the keyboard. However, I find that more difficult on a Mac since I have to open Grab each time. Is there a better way to take screenshots (preferrably easier)?

I just downloaded snapzpro for a trial. It seems very nifty: it will recognize the standard apple screenshot command (cmd shift 3) and pop up with all the options: window, screen, select area, . It does pull downs, it does movies... (slowly) I recommend it. www.ambrosia.com

But if you want free, what's wrong with the standard apple commands, like above?

I only found out this (incredibly useful) key combo a couple of months ago, and i though i was a power user...

anyway, use any of godzookie's combinations above, but hold down the control key as well - it takes a screengrab directly to the clipboard, ready to paste into Photoshop or whatever. I couldn't stand all those 'Picture 1' files on my hard disk.
