OK let me try…

A Mac and a PC had an argument about who is better designed.
The PC claimed that his pipeline is much longer, the Mac said "Yes…but mine is wider"

hmmm… It needs more work… any ideas?

It's more of an inside joke with my boss, but I thought it was cute.

I just started a new job at a place that assembles phone directories and we have to assemble and prepare ads for several clients. If a client sends us changes they are classified as either:

A: for art (like images, and so forth)
T: for text changes
A & T: for both

We send out a list of these ads with all our proofs back to the publisher. Next to each alteration we also put "T" or "A" or "A & T" so they know what to charge for the changes.

On a totally different book my boss (who happens to be a woman) says "You don't have to worry about the T's and A's on these". She must have realized how that sounded because she said it with a grin. I just laughed, but it was funny because she seems so polite and reserved I didn't expect it.
"Devil ether, it makes you behave like the village drunkard in some early Irish novel. Total loss of all basic motor skills. Blurred vision. No balance. Numb Tongue. The mind recoills in horror. Unable to communicate with the spinal column. Which is interresting, because you can watch yourself behaving in this terrible way, but you can't control it"
